Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, free Wi-Fi internet service is available to visitors at the Market.

Do merchants accept cash?

Most merchants only accept debit/credit cards and Square Pay for purchases. 

Is there an ATM?

Yes, there’s an ATM located in the northeast corner of the Public Market. UMB customers can access the ATM with no surcharge, and non-UMB customers can access the ATM for a $3 surcharge.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, we have a Public Market eGift Card that can be used at any merchant restaurant inside the Lenexa Public Market.

Are dogs allowed?

We love our four-legged friends too, but they’re not allowed inside the Market unless they’re a service animal. You may bring dogs to the outdoor patio, but they must be on a leash.

Please remember to clean up after your pet. A pet waste station is available on the Lower Commons patio just outside of the Market.

Why are merchants not always open?

Public Market merchants are individual business owners. Each merchant sets their own business hours. Before you visit, view merchant hours.  

Are there highchairs for kids?

Yes, we have highchairs throughout the Market that can be used for kiddos. 

Is the Market family friendly?

Yes! Strollers are welcome and we even have a mother’s room/family restroom upstairs in the City Hall lobby.

Check out Family Night on Wednesdays where we have dinner specials, games, a balloon artist, and rotating activities throughout the year.

How can I apply to be a merchant/ pop-up restaurant?

What's The Kitchen?

The Kitchen is a versatile space located on the lobby level of Lenexa City Hall, overlooking the merchants on the Market floor. When The Kitchen space is not reserved for a private rental, seating is open to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can I rent The Kitchen or Public Market space?

Are the outdoor fire pits always on?

Outdoor fire pits are turned on as weather conditions allow. When expecting rain, snow or wind, we’ll turn the fire pits off. If you’re visiting the Market and want the fire pits turned on and conditions are suitable, ask one of our concierge staff and we’ll get them switched on. 

Can I bring a cooler or my own alcohol?

No outside alcohol is allowed. You can purchase alcoholic beverages from Public Market merchants.

Is the Public Market open when there's inclement weather?

The extreme winter weather can cause unexpected merchant stall closures and modified hours.

While our building may be open, your favorite merchant may not be. Merchant hours vary so be sure to look at individual merchant listings for updates.
