Serving a mix of authentic Mexican flavors, Chilakillers is the newest anchor tenant at the Public Market.
In a witty play on words, the Owner/Chef Fernando Borrego gives new meaning to a signature dish served at the restaurant — chilaquiles.
"The inspiration for the Chilakillers name pay homage to one of Mexico's most beloved dishes — chilaquiles. Made with crispy tortilla chips, flavorful salsas, melted cheese and meat. Our chilaquiles are a labor of love, with every batch made fresh to order using authentic ingredients and traditional recipes. We're excited to bring this classic dish and more to the Lenexa Public Market," said Chef Borrego.

Chef Fernando Borrego launched Chilakillers as a food truck in 2022. After making appearances throughout the metro – including the Lenexa Public Market’s Friday Night Sound Bites music series – Chef Borrego knew he was ready for the next step in his business’ development.
