From Yorkshire, England to the Public Market — Brit Boy Street Food is serving up traditional English favorites as a pop-up restaurant. Simple ingredients, homemade style and authentic British flavor in every bite.

You might recognize them from the Lenexa Farmers Market, where they’re a familiar local favorite and a great spot to stock up on frozen products to enjoy at home. At their pop-up restaurant at the Public Market, you'll be able to order a hot, ready-to-eat menu item.

Dine in or carryout available. Credit or debit payments are preferred, but exact cash is also accepted.

MENU:

  • Steak, ale, mushroom pie: A proper British classic! Tender steak slow braised with earthy mushrooms and a splash of dark ale, all topped with a cheesy potato crust. Rich, hearty, and best enjoyed with a pint in hand.
  • Shepherd's pie (lamb/beef): A timeless favorite packed with tender lamb, beef, and hearty veg, simmered in dark ale for a depth of flavor that’s simply brilliant. Finished with cheesy golden spuds. It’s comfort on a plate!
  • Cheddar, ale, chicken pie: Golden spuds atop a glorious mix of seasoned chicken, tangy IPA, and sharp English cheddar. This pie has the perfect balance of rich and creamy. A true crowd-pleaser!
  • Birria, cilantro lime mash pie (gluten friendly): Slow-stewed birria beef topped with zingy cilantro-lime mash. Rich, spicy, a little smokey and full of cheeky cross-cultural flavor. (No flour or beer used.)
  • Spicy sausage roll: A cheeky twist on the classic. Enjoy pork sausage rolls with a fiery hint of jalapeños wrapped in buttery puff pastry. Bold, brash, and absolutely cracking!
  • Traditional sausage roll: A proper treat for any occasion! Juicy seasoned pork wrapped in golden, flaky pastry. Perfect for a quick nibble or posh party platter!
  • Chili sin carne pie (vegetarian + Gluten friendly): Hearty beans, tomatoes, peppers, and warming spices come together for a bold, flavor-packed veggie chili. Finished with a fluffy, golden mash topping that crisps beautifully in the oven. No meat, just pure satisfaction. (No meat, flour or beer used.)

Location

The Kitchen is located on the mezzanine level above the main Lenexa Public Market floor. Park in the free on-site parking garage accessible from eastbound 87th Street Parkway at either Penrose Street or Winchester Street. From the ground level, enter the Lenexa City Hall building across from the garage, near the statue of Na-Nex-Se. Once inside the lobby, head to the right.
