SOLD OUT: Mini RPG with My Mini Me at Family Night: June 17

Every Wednesday is Family Night — this week, bring your mini-me and roll into an epic role-playing game (RPG) adventure with Cardboard Corner Cafe.

Whether saving the day in Space or escaping from a crumbling Castle, tabletop role-playing games (ttrpgs) encourage kids (and adults!) to use their imagination to practice many important skills: teamwork, problem-solving, conflict resolution, basic arithmetic, probability, and improvisation. Games will be run by House Game Masters (GMs) who volunteer with Cardboard Corner Cafe and are some of the best at what they do. Come play with your child as they learn and play a game, stretching and strengthening their skills while having fun! Fees and Registration required.

About the Activity

Tabletop roleplaying games are collaborative storytelling games where players create characters, make choices, roll dice, and work together to solve problems. This event is designed as a short, approachable introduction to RPGs for kids and adults to experience together.

Each table will play a different RPG system, so families can choose the adventure that sounds most exciting to them when tickets are listed. No prior RPG experience is required.

Details

• 1.5 hour mini RPG session
• 8 tables with each table playing a different RPG
• Event will be at Lenexa Public Market in the Kitchen which is the 2nd floor mezzanine area
• 3 tickets per table (1 ticket = 1 kid + 1 adult parent/guardian)
• All attendees must have a parent/guardian who will be at the table to assist play
• All materials will be provided, but if you have a favorite dice set feel free to bring it
• 5 years of age minimum
• Participants will receive a 10% discount at Cardboard Corner Cafe for the evening

Cost: $10 for one child and one parent/guardian.
