Show your team spirit and wear red! Enjoy live music from Mirage, appearances by the Chiefs Rumble drumline, KC Wolf mascot, professional fire show and tailgate-worthy eats from Public Market merchants and visiting food trucks on Sept. 12, from 5 to 10 p.m.

Event schedule

4 to 8 p.m. — Inflatable football throwing game (outside on Penrose Ln.)
5:30 to 6:30 p.m. — Chiefs Rumble, Kansas City Chiefs drumline (outside on Lower Commons)
6 to 7 p.m. — Get a picture with KC Wolf, Kansas City Chiefs mascot
5:30 to 8:30 p.m. — Dinner food truck: Point & Flat BBQ
6:30 to 9:30 p.m. — Dessert food truck: Max's KettleKorn
7 to 10 p.m. — Band: Mirage playing outdoors on the Lower Commons
8 to 9 p.m. — Fire show featuring Yosh the Fire Guy (outside on Penrose Ln.)

About the series

Grab a friend, get some grub and groove into the weekend every Friday night from 7 to 10 p.m. (through Oct. 31) outside on the Lower Commons. Watch for special themed Sound Bites throughout the season.

What to know before you attend

Outside alcohol and coolers not allowed. Purchase beverages from merchants.
Food and drinks available to purchase.
Patio seating available but we encourage BYOC — bring your own chair.
Free to attend. No tickets/registration needed.

Parking

Free parking available onsite in the Lenexa Civic campus parking garage (17201 W. 87th St. Pkwy). Enter on Winchester Street or West 88th Street. Additionally, there is public parking in the Winchester Parking garage, west side of the Shawnee Mission Aquatic Center — enter on Winchester Street.
