Join Public Market merchant Cardboard Corner Cafe for an epic D&D 5e level -20 event in Liches of the Multiverse: a high-level Dungeons & Dragons Epic at the Lenexa Public Market, August 16, 2026. This high-powered adventure brings together legendary heroes to prevent a catastrophic theft of divine power.

About this event

This adventure is designed for experienced players ready to wield the ultimate power of level 20! Unlike most Tipsy Bard events, this one is NOT for beginners. We strongly urge you to get some D&D experience under your belt before this event. Rules will not be taught but as always, our GMs are ready to guide and support you through the game.

About adventure

One of the most evil liches across all planes of existence has discovered a fragment of the legendary "Karsus Avatar" spell. With this forbidden magic, they believe they can siphon a portion of Mystra's divine essence to unlock the secrets of 10th and even 11th level spells; power that was never meant to exist in mortal hands. Should this lich succeed, the consequences would reshape reality itself in the most terrible ways imaginable.

A cadre of legendary Wizards including Elminster, Mordenkainen, and Tasha (you know, the one with the iconic laugh) have uncovered this sinister plot and are calling upon the mightiest heroes of the realms to intervene. Even these archmages recognize that the temptation of such power could corrupt anyone who claims it, making its destruction the only viable option.

What to know

Pre-generated characters will be available for those who want to jump right in, but you're also welcome to bring your own hero to the table. If you are building your own character, please use the guidelines below:

Level 20 character using standard array or point buy
Magic items: One legendary, two very rare, one rare
All official D&D 5e 2014 books are fair game
No homebrew content

Note that we will be utilizing minis, monsters, and epic terrain. If you would like to bring your own mini for your character, feel free (just don't bring too much as space will be limited). Finally, as always, cosplay is encouraged (there will be photo stations throughout the area as well). Come prepared to make world-shaking decisions and unleash your most powerful abilities in this epic confrontation!

Important Info

Check-in begins at 9:30am.
This event is intended for adults 18+.
Parking is available in the garage adjacent to the library.
Additional raffle tickets and merch will be available for purchase (cash, card, or Venmo).
The vendors on the first floor of the market will be open throughout the event and available to you.
Everything needed to play will be provided including character sheets, dice, pencils, and minis. That being said, personal materials are welcome if you prefer.
Homemade characters ARE allowed for play. If you are planning on bringing your own character, please refer to the guidelines above.
