Celebrate the Independence Day holiday with this festive, pet-friendly celebration, featuring strutting mutts in costume, pop-up vendors selling pet-related products and treats for humans and dogs alike. Parade begins at 11 a.m.
SCHEDULE
9 a.m. to noon: Dog pools, yard games and pet-themed vendors will be set up outside on the Lower Commons for the duration of the event.
9:30 to 9:45 a.m.: K9 unit demonstration with the Lenexa Police Department
10:45 a.m.: Line up for the parade down the center of the Lower commons.
11 a.m.: Pet Parade around the campus! Bring your dog in a patriotic-themed costume for the parade! The Parade Grand marshal is Lexi Blue, the Lenexa Police Department’s comfort dog.
