About Red Kitchen KC
Red Kitchen KC is an authentic Mexican-style, breakfast and lunch street food stand in a bright and vibrant space inside Lenexa Public Market. Since opening in 2017, Alejandra de la Fuente, owner of Red Kitchen, has developed a loyal cult following while cooking out of a tiny 10- by 11-foot food stall in the Lenexa Public Market. At first, she opened one day a week and figured “we’ll see what happens.” By Fall 2021, plans were underway to expand into an anchor space at the market and open Tuesday through Sunday for breakfast and lunch. In addition to Alejandra's famed tamales and a breakfast burrito Food & Wine Magazine named Best Burrito in Kansas, the Red Kitchen menu includes tacos, burritos, tortas, chilaquiles, huevos rancheros.
