Chef/owner Sohaila, of <a href="http://www.lenexapublicmarket.com/merchants/#accordion-sohailas " title="http://www.lenexapublicmarket.com/merchants/#accordion-sohailas ">Sohaila's Kitchen</a>, is excited to bring back her popular cooking classes! Each class will start with a foundation of Pakistani cuisine, an overview of cooking with spices, and techniques and tips to achieve the perfect blend of authentic flavors found in her dishes. Participants will learn how to make Chicken Handi, a delectable chicken curry dish with a creamy and nutty base, a tomato-onion gravy, and freshly ground spices. Participants will also learn how to make samosas from scratch, including the preparation of the filling and the assembly of the samosas.<br>
<br>
This will be a highly interactive, hands-on class, and participants will leave the class with inspiration and recipes to recreate in their own homes. Participants will enjoy eating multiple courses throughout the duration of the class, with enough to take home too – perfect for a date night, girls night out, or family outing!<br>

Chef Sohaila serves authentic Pakistani cuisine at Sohaila’s Kitchen, located in the Lenexa Public Market. At Sohaila's Kitchen, you will enjoy a unique culinary experience with flavors deeply rooted in rich Pakistani heritage, generational recipes, and the perfect fusion of spices. A proud Lenexa resident, Sohaila is recognized for her community-driven projects as she believes in the power of food. Sohaila was raised in the beautiful city of Lahore, Pakistan, and spent most of her life in San Francisco. <br>

<span style="color: rgb(192, 0, 0);"><strong>CLASS INFORMATION AND POLICIES</strong></span><br>

<strong>COST:</strong> $90 per person, plus Eventbrite fees. <br>
<br>
<strong>TICKETS AND ADMISSION:</strong> No tickets are issued for classes. Your name will be on an attendee list in The Kitchen. Admission to The Kitchen will begin at the scheduled class start time.<br>

<strong>RECOMMENDED PARTICIPANT AGE: </strong>All ages, participants under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult with their own seat.<br>

<strong>REFUNDS: </strong>Refunds can be issued seven days prior to the event. Within seven days of the class, if you cannot attend a class for any reason, you are welcome to send someone in your place. Please let us know as soon as soon as possible so the registration list may be updated along with any allergy information. *All classes are subject to rescheduling or cancellation (which would result in a full refund).<br>

<strong>ALLERGIES/SPECIAL NEEDS:</strong> The Lenexa Public Market and demo kitchen is not an allergy-safe environment. Common cooking and baking ingredients used in classes may not be specified in class/menu titles. Food allergies and/or special needs must be stated in detail on the registration form. Best efforts will be made to accommodate those allergies and needs when known in advance. Recipe adjustments cannot be made during classes.<br>

<strong>PARKING: </strong>Free parking is available on-site in a City of Lenexa parking garage.<br>
<br>
<strong>FOOD/DRINK:</strong> Featured recipes prepared in the class will be sampled. We will have a water station available in the kitchen. Other beverages are available for purchase in the Market.<br>
<br>
<strong>PERSONAL BELONGINGS: </strong>All equipment and ingredients for the class are provided. Coat racks will be available for jackets and purses. If perishable items purchased at the Market need to be refrigerated, please notify the class instructor or Market attendant when arriving for the class.<br>
<br>
<strong>PARTICIPANT EXPERIENCE: </strong>Please come to class prepared to have some fun and learn a few tips. Group interaction and socializing will be part of the classes, but please be respectful to instructors and fellow attendees to help ensure everyone has a great time.<br>
